Updating the blog about my camp in January...
The ride to camp was okay. I sat alone in the window seat and stared outside.
I used my Zen to listen to some songs, but some ppl in the back turned up the music so yeah. It was a funny ride. We sang, laughed.
By the time we got there, it was already dark. No more phone signals and I thought the bus might hit something since it was so pitch black outside. It was as if I was completely blind.
The bus stopped, and we all got out. The weather was so cold. I was freezing but managed to get my luggage out.
So basically, we set up tent and stuff. The guys did most of the work. We girls just helped them with the flashlight and stuff.
That one guy in my group sure is witty.
Anyway, we set up two tents while others set up one.
So, at first, we all thought that we're going to have to sleep with our group in a tent, which means that boys and girls are mixed.
Luckily, gender was divided.
We ate dinner, which was okay.
Then we went out to a faraway tent where the tent was made esp. for Jesus.
Anyway, we all sat around there in a circle...playing the name game. I had to choose an adjective that starts with a letter that's in my first name. I picked "Just Jennifer" which means simple.
So after all that, we each picked an m&m. I got red or something..which means that I have to tell who's my crush.
When it came to me, I just said some japanese guy, which is a celebrity so I was safe.
After that, we all relaxed with some music on...reflecting and spending time with nature, with God. I sat and looked up at the stars. It was truly beautiful outside. No sound of cars...truly silence.
I was freezing out there...luckily I had his scarf with me. At least it kept my neck warm. I was shaking for hours out there.
Then...we later went back to our tent to sleep. It was almost midnight and no one was allowed outside at midnight. If one needs to go the restroom, take someone along.
I slept int he corner of the tent, isolated from the rest. The thing is...the corners were actually very cold at night...i tuck my whole body, head to toe, inside my sleeping bag and I was still freezing.
In the middle of the night, I heard someone going out of my group's tent. Restroom.
I continued to sleep until daylight came.
To be continued...
